U.S.
Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) – Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
Eta helped institute RCM initiatives at several MEDCOM hospitals,
including power quality monitoring, vibration analysis, infrared
equipment scanning, and laser shaft alignment. Eta analyzed the
power risers in the hospitals and developed a metering plan that –
for the funding available – would provide the hospitals with data
portraying how ‘clean’ their power was. This information can
used to determine if any failure of high-tech equipment (CAT Scan
equipment, etc.) was due to an external power event, or if it was
caused by harmonics generated inside the hospital. At the completion
of the installation Eta analyzed the installed systems and provided
a payback analysis of these RCM maintenance strategies.
Computerized
Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Individuals at Eta have worked installing Computerized
Maintenance Management Systems for a number of large government
facilities. Through an alliance with Technology Concepts Group (
TCG
), Eta can provide the full range of maintenance management
services, ranging from facility equipment scoping, to installation
of CMMS software and hardware, data mining, and data
transfer/translation. Through this alliance, Eta and
TCG
can provide both engineering analysis as well as database
construction/data transfer assistance to the facility.
