Wescom
Chromate Plating Line
As part of its constant
facility improvement, Wescom Corporation commissioned Eta to design
an upgrade of the exhaust system serving its row of dip tanks used
to plate parts with chromate. Eta designed an industrial exhaust
system that – as verified by extensive smoke tests – effectively
skimmed the fumes off the top of dip tanks under all modes of
operation, and provided a safe working environment. Eta provided the
Owner with all field-testing and adjustment (commissioning) of the
exhaust system, including verification of system performance for
outside safety inspectors.
Ironworkers
Union Training Facility
Eta designed
the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a union hall,
as well as an industrial exhaust system for the eight (8)
instructional welding booths in a learning laboratory for apprentice
welders. The exhaust system was self-balancing and provided a safe
training environment for apprentices learning the welding trade.
Black
& Company – New Headquarters
Eta designed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a
20,000 SF combination office/warehouse headquarters of a major
wholesale hardware and construction tool company in central
Illinois
. The design included
accommodation of all under floor data/telecomm wiring and high
efficiency metal halide lighting in the warehouse area.
Speed
Lube
Eta provided a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for two
quick-oil-change shops. In
each shop, Eta’s HVAC design integrated waste-oil-burning furnaces
that can be used to heat the shop areas. Eta worked closely with
local code officials and directly with the inventor/manufacturer of
these waste-oil furnaces to clear all code issues.
In the event that there is not enough waste oil on hand to
provide enough space heat in each facility, a back-up, natural
gas-fired heating ventilating unit kicks in to heat the building. |
